terms of service

welcome to tickr. by creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. if you don't agree, please don't use tickr.

1. eligibility

you must be at least 13 years old to use tickr. if you're under 18, you confirm a parent or legal guardian has given you permission to use the service. we do not knowingly accept users under 13 — see our privacy policy.

2. your license to use tickr

we grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-commercial license to use tickr for your own learning. you don't get to resell access, embed our lessons in your own product, or use tickr to train AI models.

3. acceptable use

• don't scrape, crawl, or auto-harvest lessons or user data
• don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or pull source out of the app
• don't share your account or sell your login
• don't upload illegal, hateful, or harassing content
• don't bypass paywalls, rate limits, or auth gates
• don't spam the leaderboards with bots

4. account termination

we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. you can delete your account at any time from your settings page or by emailing cyrusdemami@gmail.com.

5. tickr pro subscription

tickr Pro is a paid monthly subscription billed through Stripe. it renews automatically every month until you cancel. you can cancel anytime from your settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep Pro features until then. partial-month refunds are not issued unless required by law in your jurisdiction. all prices are shown at checkout before you commit.

6. educational content disclaimer

tickr is educational only. nothing on tickr is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. do not make real-money decisions based on lessons. consult a licensed advisor.

tickers, prices, and examples in lessons are illustrative. they may be out of date, simplified, or chosen because they teach a concept well — not because we're recommending anything. see our disclaimer page for the full breakdown.

7. intellectual property

tickr's lessons, illustrations, the Buck mascot, code, brand, and trademarks are owned by tickr and protected by copyright and trademark law. you own your own data — your progress, your avatar choice, your stats. we don't claim your data; we just store it so the app works.

8. user submissions

if you send us feedback, lesson ideas, or bug reports, you grant tickr a perpetual, royalty-free license to use those ideas to improve the service. we won't publish your name without permission.

9. warranty disclaimer

tickr is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. we don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that lessons will lead to any specific outcome.

10. limitation of liability

to the maximum extent allowed by law, tickr's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid tickr in the last 12 months. we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any investment losses you experience in the real world.

11. dispute resolution & governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County. either of us can still bring qualifying claims in small claims court.

12. changes to these terms

we may update these terms as the product evolves. for material changes, we'll post at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app banner before the change takes effect. continuing to use tickr after that means you accept the new terms.
